Promoting Kindness in the Workplace


1. Have faith in your staff and empower them to do their job.
  • Leave them alone so they can do the work.
  • Treat poor decisions as learning experiences by discussing a better approach.

2. Provide the tools your staff needs quickly, and cater to their personal tastes whenever possible.

3. Do whatever you can to keep people on the important jobs.

  • Offer to help employees with a temporarily unmanageable workload by removing obstacles. This earns you their respect and appreciation.

4. Listen to what your staff tells you.

  • Create an environment where everyone is free to express themselves. Then listen to what they have to say.

The manager who cares for people and shows it, can successfully lead a team to increased productivity and excellence.
