Boost Employee Morale
And Improve Your Bottom Line
Part 1
A recent multi year study of 100,000 employees by the
Gallup Organization concludes that there are 12 employee attitudes that
relate to a company’s profitability. In addition, the role of managers and
supervisors is extremely important. The study results show that employees
don’t leave companies, they leave managers and supervisors. We’ll take the
first six questions you can ask of your management team and staff that will
give you a quick assessment of employee attitudes and lead you to create
solutions that will help you retain highly productive employees.
Ask your employees these questions:
- Do you know what’s expected of you at work?
- Do you have the materials and equipment you need to
do your work right?
- At work, do you have the opportunity to do what you
do best every day?
- In the last seven days, have you received
recognition or praise for doing good work?
- Does your supervisor, or someone at work, seem to
care about you as a person?
- Is there is someone at work who encourages your
development?
These questions will help you determine employee
attitudes and will give you a good place to start assessing what your
employee need to want to stay with you! |
