Boost Employee Morale
And Improve Your Bottom Line
Part 2
A recent multi year study of 100,000 employees by the
Gallup Organization concludes that there are 12 employee attitudes that
relate to a company’s profitability. In addition, the role of managers and
supervisors is extremely important. The study results show that employees
don’t leave companies, they leave managers and supervisors. We’ll take the
last six questions you can ask of your management team and staff that will
give you a quick assessment of employee attitudes and lead you to create
solutions that will help you retain highly productive employees.
Ask your employees these questions:
- In the last six months, has someone at work has
talked to you about your progress?
- At work, does your opinion seem to count?
- Does the mission/purpose of our company makes you
feel that your job is important?
- Are your fellow employees committed to doing
quality work?
- Do you have a best friend at work?
- During this last year, have you had opportunities
to learn and grow?
- Do you have a best friend at work?
- During this last year, have you had opportunities
at work to learn and grow?
Asking your employees and management staff these and
last week’s questions will help you determine employee attitudes and will
give you a good place to start assessing your employee needs. |
